Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find my PrintNode API key?
  1. Sign in to your PrintNode account at app.printnode.com
  2. Click on your name in the top-right corner and select API Keys
  3. Copy your existing API key, or click Create API Key to generate a new one
  4. Paste the key into Quick Node Print's Settings tab

Your API key is stored securely in the iOS Keychain and never leaves your device except when authenticating with PrintNode.

How do I set up printers?
  1. Install the PrintNode Client on the computer connected to your printer(s)
  2. Sign in with your PrintNode credentials — the client will automatically detect connected printers
  3. In Quick Node Print, go to the Printers tab and tap Load Printers
  4. Your printers will appear grouped by computer. Select your preferred printer

Printers show as "Online" when both the printer and the PrintNode Client on the host computer are active.

How do I use the Share Extension?

Quick Node Print includes an iOS Share Extension so you can print from any app:

  1. Open a PDF, image, or document in any app (Files, Mail, Safari, etc.)
  2. Tap the Share button (square with arrow)
  3. Select Quick Node Print from the share sheet
  4. Choose your printer, set copies, and tap Print

If you don't see Quick Node Print in the share sheet, scroll right and tap "More" to enable it.

How do I manage my subscription?

Quick Node Print subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions
  3. Find Quick Node Print to view, modify, or cancel your subscription

You can also manage subscriptions from the App Store app under your account settings.

What file types can I print?

Quick Node Print supports PDF files and images (JPEG, PNG, HEIC). Images are automatically converted to PDF format before printing. For other file types (Word, Excel), convert them to PDF first using your preferred app.

Can I print from Salesforce / AvSight?

Yes! Quick Node Print includes an optional Salesforce/AvSight integration. Once configured with your Salesforce credentials, you can scan barcodes or search for records, view attached documents, and print them directly. This is available as a premium feature.
